Edinburgh-based Lothian Buses has gone live with Trapeze’s DAS-Web.

The product is an intuitive selfservice module which simplifies internal communications and improves the efficiency of the traffic office.

The system reduces interruptions to the traffic office by enabling employees to view their own data (including timesheets and holiday balances) and submit requests (e.g. duty swaps and holiday applications) via a convenient web interface.

DAS-Web integrates seamlessly with Trapeze’s existing DAS (Duty Allocation System) and is entirely web-based, so employees can log in whenever and wherever they choose.

Lothian Buses has been a Trapeze client for over 20 years and today has more than 1,500 drivers in its employment.

Lothian staff have already seen noticeable improvements in internal communications with the recent introduction of DAS-Web. Sarah Boyd, Head of Operations (Bus) at Lothian Buses said: “We are very happy with the new system. Once we combine it with our Intranet system, it has the potential to reduce paperwork and save time.

“Feedback from our employees is that they are impressed with how easy it is to use and that they find it much more convenient than the previous paper-based system which we used.”

Peter Bell, Managing Director of Trapeze Group in the UK, commented: “We at Trapeze are delighted to see that Lothian Buses is using DAS-Web to its full potential. “The system is sure to be streamlining traffic office operations and improving employee engagement.”
