The first of Lothian Buses 25 Euro 6 Wrightbus Gemini 3-bodied Volvo B5TLs have started entering service on route 3 (Clovenstone – Mayfield).

The 11.4m buses, which seat 79 and can carry 90, have two glass roof panels at the front as well as Wright’s distinctive glass exterior glazing for the staircase. As well as coloured LED destination equipment, WiFi and CCTV equipment are included in the specification.

Ian Craig, Lothian Buses Chief Executive said when the buses were ordered: “We pride ourselves in the quality of our operational standards, which is in line with our reputation for having one of the most modern fleets in the UK and are looking forward to taking delivery of these new, state-of-the-art buses later this year. As well as providing all the facilities and comforts our customers have come to expect, they can be confident that they are travelling in a vehicle with extremely low emissions, therefore lessening our impact to the city’s environment.”
