As part of its drive to net zero, London Luton Airport has chosen Mercedes-Benz to supply new buses. The airport has confirmed an order for six more Mercedes-Benz Citaro Euro VI diesel buses, with delivery planned for this spring. The new buses will carry a refreshed livery, which will publicise the airport’s ambition to reach net zero for its airport emissions by 2040. The new buses will use 100% renewable HVO fuel to help support its transition ahead of the deadline. Supporting a vision for accident-free driving, the uprated safety specification includes Sideguard Assist 2, Frontguard Assist, Attention Assist and Traffic Sign Assist driving aids. A tyre pressure monitoring system and 360° exterior camera will also provide additional support for Luton Airport’s drivers in a number of situations.
The six Mercedes-Benz Citaro buses will be leased from Dawsongroup bus and coach.
