Manchester Airport has launched a new Coach Welcome Scheme in partnership with CPT UK to assist with the quick and easy movement of coaches and passengers through the airport’s busy collection and drop-off areas.

The scheme, which provides clear guidance, information and a friendly welcome for operators, drivers and tour guides, has been developed to ensure that all visitors arriving at the airport by coach enjoy a positive and hassle-free experience. Also included within the Coach Welcome Scheme are additional parking bays, a driver’s rest room, vehicle wash, toilet drop and booking centre.

Speaking at the launch of the Coach Welcome Scheme, Sue Mullen, CPT’s Regional Manager for the North West said: “CPT has worked closely with Manchester Airport during the development and launch stages of the Scheme, and it’s great to see that so many of the concerns and difficulties previously encountered and raised by our members have been addressed.

“The new Scheme features many elements of CPT’s prestigious Coach Friendly Status and clearly demonstrates that Manchester Airport appreciates the key role that coaches play in bringing thousands of passengers to the airport each and every day.”

Sue added: “I am also delighted to announce that CPT Members visiting the airport and purchasing a forecourt permit will receive a 33% discount.”

Coaches wishing to use Manchester Airport should first register their visit with the Coach Operations Centre at Hale Top House, 24 hours prior to arrival. They can be contacted on telephone 0161 489 5154, or by email at [email protected].

Forecourt permits for a one-hour stay are priced at £15 and discounted to £10 for CPT Members, and the coach wash costs £20 and £15 for CPT Members.
