URUGUAY: South American manufacturer Marcopolo has delivered the first three Viaggio G8 1050 coaches to the international market. The vehicles were acquired by operators Intertur and ABUS from the cities of Dolores and Ciudad de Tacuarembo in Uruguay, and will be used on inter-city routes and tourist work.

“The characteristics of bold design, robustness, lower operating costs and higher resale value were decisive in the purchase of the Viaggio G8 1050 by clients in Uruguay. The supply demonstrates the strong presence of the brand in Uruguay and throughout South America, since Intertur has been a Marcopolo client since the 1970s and has a 100% Marcopolo fleet,” said José Luiz Moraes Goes, Marcopolo’s director of commercial operations for the foreign market, quality and technical assistance.

The Viaggio G8 1050 coaches exported to Uruguay have Scania K-310C chassis, with a total length of 13,200mm and a capacity of 44 passengers, in Executive Soft G8 seats with leg rests and a phone holder with USB socket.
