Marcopolo shows hydrogen coach at IAA

GERMANY

Marcopolo, with partners Sinosenergy, Feichi Bus and Allenbus, showed a hydrogen fuel cell-powered coach at the recent IAA exhibition in Hannover. Based on Marcopolo’s Audace 1050 model and produced at its facility in China, the coach uses fuel cell technology by Sinosynergy and Feichi Bus/Allenbus. A second coach is undergoing testing in China.

The 12-metre coach has capacity for 53 passengers and a claimed range of up to 600 kilometres. A pure electric option will also be available, with power provided by CATL LiFeO, (lithium iron) 423kWh batteries and promising a range of around 400km.
