SINGAPORE SMRT Automotive Services and Masats recently signed an agreement for SMRT to become Masats’ authorised service provider in Singapore. SMRT Automotive Services is a repair company that belongs to SMRT Corporation, one of the leading providers of multimodal transport in Singapore.

The signing ceremony took place at SMRT’s offices, with P V Venkatesan and Tan Kian Heong representing SMRT, and Frederic Solé and Axel Habermayer representing Masats.

Masats will offer regular training to SMRT employees, who will perform maintenance and repairs on their equipment for both their own and other operators’ vehicles.

After years of collaborating with the local SMRT operator, and previously with its predecesor, TIPS, Masats has become an important supplier in Singapore. More than 800 vehicles in the island state have Masats doors, mainly doors that open inward and electric sliding doors.

In 2001, Masats began to supply equipment for the local market, later reinforcing its relationship starting in 2011 with SMRT’s acquisition of its first MAN vehicles with bodies assembled by Malaysian company, Gemilang.
With this agreement, Masats reinforces its services in the Asian market and has secured its relationship with local operators when it comes to providing quality post-sales service.
