BELGIUM
Van Hool is supplying a TDX27 Astromega double-deck coach to M.G. Cars in Ittre which, in a first for Belgium, features one hundred seats, including 98 passengers plus guide and driver. The vehicle has been designed for short and medium length journeys, where the operator says its increased capacity also ensures that one vehicle is adequate to transport a large group of people, without compromising on seat comfort or leg room, as well as helping to overcome the severe shortage of drivers in the sector.
The coach is fitted with a powerful 530 PK, 390kW DAF engine in combination with a ZF Traxon automatic transmission.
