McGill’s Bus Group says it is proud to have signed the Armed Forces Covenant, promising to support local armed forces communities across Scotland. The pledge ensures that those who serve or have served, and their families, are treated fairly. By signing it, McGill’s joins more than 10,000 organisations across a range of sectors that have committed to providing fair treatment for veterans, serving personnel, reservists and their families.
The business already supports the armed forces in a number of ways, including free travel for serving military personnel on all buses, engaging with armed forces charities and in recruitment drives.
The Group is a committed armed forces-friendly employer, recognising military skills and qualifications in its recruitment and selection process. McGill’s also employs many ex-servicemen and women across different areas of the business and work with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to support the employment of service leavers.

As a nation we have a duty to ensure that that those who have helped to keep us safe and their families, are treated fairly and supported in their endeavours.
