The six new coaches are due to replace the current Van Hool TDX27 fleet used on the M11 service between Aberdeen, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

The new vehicles will be operated by Stagecoach West Scotland from its Cumbernauld depot, which already operates five Panoramas for the X76 service between Kilmarnock and Glasgow in Stagecoach livery.

The Plaxton Panorama coaches will be the first to feature a new style interior for megabus.com, moving away from the standard Stagecoach interior that has been used previously.

The new specification includes wood effect flooring and three-point seatbelts on half leather seats that are two tone blue.

A full width rear LED destination board is also specified, rather than just the rear number blind fitted to the previously delivered Elite is.

Additionally, megabus.com has announced the latest winners of its name a coach competition on its social media channels.

The six Panoramas will be named Aberdeen Angus, Caledonian Cruiser, London Calling, Our kid, Ozzy and Tartan Traveller. They are to be numbered 50406-50411.
