As well as preserved buses from the museum’s collection and private owners, the area’s bus and coach operators have a track record of supporting the event, said LVVS Chairman Steve Milner.

“We would like to thank them for their support with modern or heritage vehicles from Delaine Buses, Fowler’s Travel, Marshalls of Sutton-on-Trent and Stagecoach East Midlands being some of those regularly taking part.”

This year, a new feature for the Transport Festival will be a free entry open day at the yard of Black Cat Travel, Lincoln where visitors will be able to view and photograph members of a fleet ranging from Leylands through to an Optare Spectra and Yutong TC9. “We are very pleased to support the museum’s event,” said Black Cat proprietor John Edwards. Established with just one

vehicle in 2009, Black Cat now has a fleet of some 17 buses on a wide range of work.
