New Adventure Travel (NAT) Group has purchased the assets and ongoing business of Ron and Jonathan Hoskins, trading as Select Local Bus.

Based at Skewen, Neath Port Talbot, all the staff and vehicles of the Select business have now transferred to NAT.

In a statement, NAT described Select as “a great example of a well-run family business.” It added: “Praise must be given to Ron and his family for the level of service they have offered their customers over the past few years. NAT hopes to build on the strong foundations that are in place and progress the business using the same principles as it has elsewhere in the Group.”

A spokesman told CBW: “We have bought the assets – 10 buses, the routes and the trading name. It supplements our existing depot at Abercrave and our outstation at Davies Coaches’ premises at Penclawdd, from where we operate our Gower services.”

Established in 2008, NAT has grown to become one of South Wales’ largest independent operators, running a diverse range of work, comprising both contracted and commercial local bus work, school contracts and coach hire, including corporate charters.
