Nottingham City Transport (NCT) has joined forces with the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) to produce a brand new information guide which highlights the best real ale pubs located throughout NCT’s entire network.

The 2015 ‘Beer by Bus’ guide gives details of the top 50 pubs where ardent ale fans can enjoy a pint of any obscure, creatively-named brew they like – while being close to an NCT bus route for the journey home.

CAMRA’s National Conference and AGM took place in the city last weekend.

“Nottingham City Transport is an excellent bus operator and we’ve had a great relationship with them for some time now,” explained CAMRA Nottingham’s Alan Ward.

“Real ale is obviously our passion and we take it very seriously, but drinking responsibly is something our members take equally seriously.

“The ‘Beer by Bus’ guide not only promotes some of the best places in the area to have a drink, it also encourages ale-lovers to leave their cars at home – making it safer and more enjoyable for everyone.”

The Beer by Bus guide is just one of the initiatives NCT has recently launched aimed at helping its passengers get the best out of its extensive area network. Just before the Easter holidays, it also created its ‘Top 100 Nottingham attractions by bus’ guide for families.

The CAMRA and NCT Beer by Bus guides are available from the operators Travel Centre on the Old Market Square in the city.
