Conference to take place at Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham on May 14 and 15, 2013
The East Midlands venue for the 2013 ALBUM Conference has now been announced. It will take place at the Belton Woods Hotel near Grantham on Tuesday and Wednesday May 14 and 15, 2013.
De Vere Belton Woods is really quite different – according to the organiser. Set amongst over 475 acres of Lincolnshire countryside, with a PGA championship golf course and other leisure facilities such as the Serenity spa and beautiful pool, this luxurious hotel is an ideal conference venue. It offers beautifully furnished rooms, most with stunning views over the estate or golf course.
Belton Woods is easy to find, being approximately four miles from the A1, or three miles from Grantham station which receives regular fast East Coast mainline services from London. For delegates travelling by air, East Midlands Airport is 34 miles away (about 50 minutes).
2013’s organiser, Mark Fowles of Nottingham City Transport, hopes the conference can match the quality of this year’s successful event near Hull, with a range of high profile speakers and guests chosen to inform delegates on key issues facing their business, together with some fun and entertainment.
Mark said: “The 2012 ALBUM conference was the biggest yet, enjoying amazing support from delegates and industry suppliers. I have high hopes the 2013 event will generate the same interest.
“Without even being asked, we have already received many offers of sponsorship from longstanding supporters and have had enquiries about trade stands from potential new exhibitors. The hotel is fantastic and the staff are determined to make the conference a success.
“I am extremely grateful to this year’s organiser Peter Shipp and his team from EYMS who have handed over a great deal of information and advice in preparation for 2013’s event which very useful and will save us considerable time.”
Final costings are currently being worked on at present. NCT plans to issue details of delegate fees and exhibitor costs in November together with a special conference website, as last year, to keep news of the conference up-to-date.
