Adrian Morton attends the official opening of Xelagroup’s new facility in Eastleigh, which comes as the company approaches its 15th birthday
On Friday 30 August Xelagroup officially opened its new maintenance facility and offices in Eastleigh. The move follows 12 years at its previous premises on nearby Barton Park. The new location offers engineering and office staff, and clients, a fresh modern working environment and provides a platform for the company to continue with its expansion plans. A dedicated training room will provide regular compliance and driver CPC courses. The workshop has a four bay inspection facility with vehicle lifts provided by Totalkare.
Having been invited to the opening ceremony I can safely say the provision would be the envy of many, particularly so the office suite upstairs, where absolutely everything has been thought of. The honours were carried out by MP Liz Jarvis and local broadcasting legend Fred Dineage MBE. The delivery of his captivating and humourous speech was a spectacle to behold. I can fondly remember him reading the local news in my younger years, in fact, something he only retired from doing just three years ago, at the age of 79.
2025 will see the company reach its 15th anniversary. Several projects will come to fruition over the 12-month period, including donations being made to 12 local but very different charities.
