Go Ahead-owned Southern Vectis has introduced a new service on the Isle of Wight.
The St Cross Business Express has been introduced to transport people between Newport and the popular business park.
“We have worked closely with the Isle of Wight Council to access the Local Sustainable Transport Fund Initiative – and this has allowed us to begin operating this important service,” said Matt Kitchin, General Manager of Southern Vectis.
“It is all about giving people the chance to leave their cars at home, by making sure they have a sustainable alternative for travelling into work.
“We are running the shuttle from Newport Bus Station to St Cross Business Park on weekdays, three times in the morning and three times in the evening – to match business start and finish times.”
The service will run initially for a trial period of 11 months.
