Having recently unveiled a new two-tone blue livery and refreshed look for its fleet, along with plans for a revision to its network from 30 March which it says will provide more reliable and convenient services for its passengers, Norfolk operator Konectbus recently welcomed Gary Stevens from local charity Nelson’s Journey to present him with a cheque for £445, funds raised through the company’s latest colleague engagement survey.

As part of the initiative, colleagues were invited to nominate a local charity to receive a £5 donation for every completed survey. Nelson’s Journey was chosen in recognition of its work to support children and young people who have experienced the loss of someone significant in their lives.

Konectbus says it is committed to supporting local communities by providing essential transport connections across the region, where the rural landscape can make travel challenging. Gary Stevens, Funding and Marketing Manager at Nelson’s Journey, said: “It is thanks to the support of the local community that our work is possible. We’re so grateful for Konectbus’ donation and support. Their fundraising really goes a long way in helping us to continue providing our services to support bereaved children and young people in Norfolk.”

Head of Marketing and Commercial at Konectbus Davina Langley added: “We are delighted to support the fantastic work which Nelson’s Journey provides to families and we hope that our donation continues to help the children and young people across Norfolk.”

Alongside its refreshed Konectbus brand, Go-Ahead is also also planning to bring all of its East Anglia operations together under the Konectbus name.
