CBW had the opportunity to speak to Mellor Coachcraft Managing Director John Randerson at the CV Show last week to find what the future holds for the Woodall Nicholson group company
The Woodall Nicholson group had a strong presence at this year’s Commercial Vehicle show through Mellor Coachcraft and Treka Bus.
We had the opportunity to sit down with John Randerson on the 90th Mellor Tucana II to be delivered to Transport for London’s Dial-a-Ride unit to talk about what the industry can expect to see from Mellor Coachcraft in the coming months.
John said: “I still want to challenge the perception of what passenger transport can be and I think there are still things to be done. There are still some interesting evolutions and still some points where we can do something revolutionary.
“We have got a board that are excited by what we have done. We have made above average success of the Mellor business.
“I am as excited as I ever was with our products and the team. There is still more to come. Pitch up at Busworld and you will see something completely new from Mellor and it will be another world first.”
John concluded that: “Woodall Nicholson provides something to its companies that is actually tangible at customer level, the shareholders are very innovative and are not afraid to invest, even in these challenging times.”
