New Mercedes-Benz and Setra service partner for London area

EvoBus UK has announced the appointment of Automania Garage Services (AGS) as an authorised Service Partner in the London region. Round-the-clock vehicle maintenance and repair support provider for the aviation and PCV sectors, AGS will now also provide a range of recovery and fleet management services to Mercedes-Benz and Setra bus and coach operators.

In July 2020, AGS is expected to open its flagship £6-million development, currently nearing completion on a two-acre site close to Heathrow Airport. At its heart will be a comprehensively equipped 64,000 sq ft workshop with no fewer than 39 bays of varying lengths, 17 of which have full-length pits. There are also two dedicated Authorised Testing Facility (ATF) lanes that will used by inspectors from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to undertake commercial vehicle and PCV MoT tests.

Led by Directors Richard Holmes (Operations) and Paul McGerty (Finance), AGS says it has gone from strength to strength since 2011 and is now stepping up to the next level by becoming an authorised Service Partner for the Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands. AGS recognises the importance of restricting downtime to an absolute minimum; that’s why we provide quick-response services with minimal workshop lead times, collection and delivery of vehicles, and MoT testing at times that suit our customers. The flagship facility we open in July is also perfectly located being close to both the M25 and M4 and is just off Bath Road.

To facilitate the integration of the coach and bus element into the business, most of the fully trained EvoBus service team, currently located at Southall, will join the AGS team at Heathrow in July.  Thanks to this transfer of knowledge, the vastly improved accessibility of an EvoBus service location and the quality of the AGS facilities, EvoBus UK expects that its customers based in the London area will benefit enormously from this brand new venture. The opening of the premises at Heathrow will render the Southall location superfluous to requirements, and it will therefore close by end of July.
