Newport Transport, with the help of its supplier Pennine Signs, has liveried one of its double-decker buses in the colours of the Ukrainian flag in a show of its support of the people of Ukraine.
Scott Pearson, Managing Director at Newport Transport, said: “Newport Transport is proud to show its support and solidarity for the people of Ukraine. This bus will hopefully act as a reminder not only to
do what we all can to help, but also the importance of democracy and peace.”
The operator said it is proud of its own multicultural and diversity, with many of its staff members originating from Eastern Europe, including Poland, Hungary and Romania. With Newport City Council as sole shareholder, it also has a role as one of the pillars of the communities it serves, and lends its support to grassroots and cultural events.
