I’ve had the pleasure of attending the ALBUM conference for the last few years, though schedules permitting, it looks like this year CBW’s newest recruit Maxson Goh will be reporting on the event for the first time in a couple of weeks. The 2025 Association of Local Bus Company Managers (ALBUM) Conference is taking place at the East Midlands Conference Centre from Monday 12 to Wednesday 14 May, and this time is being hosted by the team at award-winning municipal operator Nottingham City Transport (NCT), led by Managing Director David Astill.

ALBUM exists to support the municipally owned and independent SME bus sector in the UK, and its annual conference serves as a platform for like-minded individuals and operators to come together to discuss industry issues, share good practice and network with other operators and suppliers in a friendly and informal setting. The organisation is also an advocate for the municipal and SME sector in respect of Government policy, ensuring that the voices of its approximately 160 members representing 40 operators are heard on a wider scale.
