Reduced interest from vehicle owners and stall-holders means that the event is no longer viable, reports Nick Larkin

Showbus organiser Martin Isles has decided not to hold any more Flyby events. Last year’s Showbus Rally, the 50th, was the last one to be held. However it was hoped that the associated Flyby, featuring buses travelling through towns along the A40 road, might continue. The event was highly successful during lockdown in 2020.

The 2022 Flyby was postponed until June this year due to Her Majesty the Queen’s funeral; for 2023, the Brunel University at Uxbridge and RAF Wycombe formed each end of the route. A static display of buses and stalls took place in High Wycombe town centre.
