A museum is developing a centre of engineering excellence in Nottinghamshire and welcomes new volunteers

The Nottingham Heritage Vehicles Charity has taken a 12 year lease on the former Trent depot at Hucknall, and restoration is taking place on the 1936 art deco building. The charity’s collection comprises some 20 vehicles, from halfcabs to a 2003 ex-Nottingham City Transport Wright-bodied Scania bendybus. Paul Winson, of the well-known Loughborough-based operator, is the charity’s Engineering Director and is teaching volunteers mechanical skills.
