Opole to expand its e-bus fleet

CAF-owned Solaris’ range of electric buses continues to be popular across Europe. Among recent orders is a batch of eight e-buses for the Polish city of Opole, made up of six 12-metre and two 18-metre vehicles, as well as charging infrastructure. The buses will feature Solaris High Energy batteries and a central electric motor. During the day, fast charging will take place by means of an inverted pantograph, and at night, recharging will take place conventionally via a standard plug-in connection at the operator’s depot.

Solaris has grown to become one of the main suppliers to the Polish city bus market over tha last two decades, and has supplied over 7,000 vehicles in total, including 550 e-buses.
