BELGIUM Iveco Bus has been selected by the Transport Operator of Wallonia (OTW) to supply 127 additional 12-metre Crossway Low Entry vehicles for routes in the Liège and Namur regions where they will operate under the TEC
(Transport en Commun) brand. The first batch of 83 will be delivered in the first quarter of 2026, followed by a second batch of 44 in the first quarter of 2027. The order is the third contract signed with the Walloon operator in two years, and follows agreements for a total of 22 Daily minibuses and 42 Crossway Low Entry Hybrid vehicles.
“These buses will operate on suburban routes, where passengers spend more time on board. Therefore, features that enhance passenger comfort, such as thermal comfort, low noise levels, a high number of seats, attractive aesthetics, and ease of use for
all customers, are particularly important. Safety, ergonomics, and comfort for drivers and technicians are of utmost importance. Last but not least, energy efficiency was a key factor in this decision,” explained Christophe Martin, OTW’s vehicle manager.
“We are pleased with this new collaboration with OTW and would like to thank them for their trust in our models. These Crossway Low Entry vehicles, which will soon join OTW’s fleet, perfectly address the current challenges of passenger mobility, offering a safe and comfortable travel experience,” added Giorgio Zino, Iveco’s Head of Bus Commercial Operations in Europe.
