Pelican and Yutong have announced the launch of Team Zero, a collaborative network of zero-emission coach and bus operators to discuss best practice and keep them updated with the latest news from manufacturer Yutong and its UK distributor Pelican. Launched to coincide with the COP26 Climate Conference, the inaugural meeting was held at the Hilton hotel in Glasgow.
There were speeches from Ian Downie, Head of Yutong Bus UK at Pelican and Richard Crump, Pelican’s Managing Director. Kent Chang, the Overseas Distribution Sales Division Director for Yutong spoke about the latest zero-emission developments from Yutong and how they will fulfil its recently announced commitment to achieve net-zero by 2050. Scott Pearson, Managing Director of Newport Transport, and Ralph Roberts, CEO at McGill’s Buses, were among those who spoke about their experience of running a zero-emission fleet.
