With growing demand for its products, work has commenced to increase the size of Pelican Bus & Coach’s National Parts Distribution Centre. The construction work was inspected by CEO of Yutong Europe Jack Li on his recent visit to the UK. When completed, the extension will increase the size of the building to 25,000 square feet, enhancing Pelican’s capacity and allowing up to £8.5m worth of stock, specifically for Yutong vehicles, to be carried, the company says.
Yutong Europe’s CEO expressed his satisfaction with the progress and reiterated the brand’s commitment to supporting Pelican in ensuring that the highest standards of service and parts availability are maintained for Yutong operators in the UK and Ireland.
The company says the expansion is another key milestone in its strategic growth plan, reinforcing its position as a crucial partner for Yutong in the UK. Work is also due to start next month on an office expansion at its Castleford showroom.
