First has partnered with Portsmouth FC to offer greener travel to matches and the chance to win tickets. FIRST SOLENT

First Solent, a part of First Bus South, says it is proud to announce its corporate partnership with Portsmouth Football Club for the 2023/24 season, which it says represents the strength of its commitment to serving the community it operates in. The operator will work with the club to encourage supporters to make use of public transport and to provide them with a sustainable way to travel to games at the club’s Fratton Park stadium.

To celebrate the partnership, First is giving match day tickets away throughout the 2023/24 season via its social media channels. First Bus South Managing Director Simon Goff said: “We have a proud history of serving the local community in Portsmouth, and we’re delighted to partner with Portsmouth FC, which forms an integral part of the city’s culture, economy, and community.

“Working with the club allows us to further our role as a responsible bus operator, making a positive impact to our customers and local people. Our partnership will allow us to reach a wider audience to further encourage people to choose public transport as their preferred method of travel, especially on matchdays.”

Portsmouth FC Director of Sales Mark Judges added: “We are excited to welcome First South as an official partner of Portsmouth Football Club, an organisation which has a positive impact on our supporters’ match day experience. Their service is integral to connecting our supporters with unforgettable experiences at Fratton Park and we look forward to working together throughout the season.”
