RATP Dev, which was already a 51% shareholder in L’OpenTour Paris, has become its sole shareholder.
Operator of open-top double-decker buses in France, L’OpenTour Paris caters to 750,000 passengers per year. Its fleet of over 40 buses run on four sightseeing routes, allowing passengers to visit and travel around the French capital at their own pace.
François-Xavier Perin, Chairman of the RATP Dev executive board, said: “In becoming the sole shareholder of L’OpenTour Paris, RATP Dev is consolidating its development strategy for sightseeing, a sector with strong potential in which we already have extensive experience in three of the most popular cities for tourism in the world: Paris, London and New York.
“We are delighted to welcome the full team at L’OpenTour Paris into RATP Dev. We will be able to use their know-how and expertise to enhance synergies with our other dedicated sightseeing subsidiaries.”
RATP Dev set up a dedicated sightseeing division under Ronan Bois in September 2014 to follow through the Group’s growth in this sector.
