Reading Buses has announced it will be running buses to and from the Reading Festival site this week.

Regular numbered 98 buses will operate between Reading Station North and Rivermead Leisure Centre for £1 each way. The operator said it will have plenty of helpers around to point customers in the right direction to Station North for the buses.

Buses start from Reading Station at 0900hrs on the Wednesday and will then begin at 0630hrs on Thursday and Friday, 0740hrs on the Saturday and 0810hrs on the Sunday.

Buses then run through the night Sunday into Monday to help festival goers get home.

“We are running regular buses from Wednesday all through to Monday, during the peak times buses will run as a frequent service, so there will only be short waiting times for them,” said Jake Osman, Marketing and Communications Manager at Reading Buses.
