A silver National. Hartlepool Transport acquired seven Leyland Nationals, SHN 401-407R in 1977. SHN 404R was delivered in Silver Jubilee colours. The operator later bought a batch of Mk2 Nationals (KAJ 214-KAJ 220W), and in 1990 four 1977 examples from Southdown. None of the Nationals bought new survive. Hartlepool Transport was taken over by Stagecoach in 1994. TEESSIDE 500 GROUP
