Ensign’s 2021 Running Day has been declared the most successful ever. “We sold around 700 day tickets, the weather was good and everyone seems to have enjoyed themselves,” said Ensign Director Steve Newman.
All the routes were well patronised including the new service X54 will connecting the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex with the Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre and RAF Hornchurch Heritage Centre. Some 25 buses put in an appearance, including newly refurbished AEC Routemaster coach RMC 1477.
