The second vehicle, with East Lancs body, was new to Tayside in 1984. A288TSN now sports a front panel from an earlier Ailsa model.

“I really do not want to see either of these buses scrapped, and hope they go into preservation or another operator,” said Roger Durbin, Managing Director of South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach. “I’ve regularly driven the ex-Trent vehicle myself and it’s excellent.

We are very sorry to see either of them go, but the time has come to replace them with newer buses.”

Offers around £6,000 are suggested for G614OTV, but all will be considered, along with any reasonable offer for the ex-Tayside vehicle.
