The 1 September marks the return of school bus services in many area’s of England and Wales.
Transport for London has introduced dedicated school buses to operate alongside normal bus services to ensure that pupils travel together, rather than with members of the public.
These services operate a normal route and are blinded as such, but display a yellow ‘School Service’ board. Pupil’s are required to only use these services and not the ones marked ‘Non-school Service’ with a red board.
The two boards are in addition to the yellow ‘Bus Full’ board introduced at the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
