Scottish Citylink, a joint venture of Stagecoach and ComfortDelGro, won the ‘Best Bus Service’ award for its 6 Cities network linking Glasgow and Edinburgh with Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness at the Scottish Transport Awards, with a further four commendations for Scottish Citylink and Stagecoach.

Stagecoach was highly commended in both ‘Public Transport Operator of the Year’ and ‘Most Innovative Transport Project of the Year’ categories at its East Scotland business. The commendation for ‘Most Innovative Transport Project’ came after the idea by Stagecoach to host a ‘well-being on wheels bus’ in partnership with the Scottish Association for Mental Health.

Along with its award for ‘Best Bus Service’, Scottish Citylink was also shortlisted and highly commended in the ‘Public Transport Operator of the Year’ award and ‘Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing’ award for its Restoring Customer Confidence campaign.
Sam Greer, Stagecoach Regional Director for Scotland, said: “After a challenging few years in the transport industry, these commendations are greatly received by all of us at Stagecoach and Scottish Citylink. Our teams work incredibly hard to deliver the best service possible and being recognised by Scottish Transport Awards is something we are all very proud of.”
