Dorset coach operator Royal Blue Motorcoach is being sold to Co-founder Giovanna Heritage for an undisclosed sum following the withdrawal of the Self family’s interests.

The transfer allows well-known coach industry figures Joan and Mark Self to concentrate on other interests.

Completing the deal on the Wimborne Mister-based company, Mark Self, former Operations Manager, told CBW: “Our work with Giovanna has been a memorable and wonderful journey and we wish her all the very best with this well-loved brand. However, our work is done and the disposal of our interests in Royal Blue allows us to concentrate on other exciting projects – industry and nonindustry related – which we wish to pursue.”

Commenting on the news, Giovanna Heritage, said: “The share purchase was a natural progression for my business interests. I wish both Joan and Mark all the best on their future projects.”

Formed in 2012, Royal Blue Motorcoach describes itself as “a new company with traditional values.” While the name Royal Blue is a well-loved name of the past, the company is keen to stress in no circumstances is it seeking to portray or imitate (in every sense) the Royal Blue of yester-year.
