GERMANY Baden-Württemberg operator Stiefvater Fernlinien GmbH has taken delivery of four Setra coaches for use on its Flixbus scheduled service diagrams.
Three ComfortClass S516 HDs of the with 49 seats each and a 78-seater S431 DT double-decker have entered service on the Zurich to Hamburg, Basel to Munich and Lörrach to Stuttgart routes. The new coaches have replaced four Setras acquired for the same duties in 2015.
Established 50 years ago, Stiefvater Fernlinien is based in the southern Black Forest. Its modern depot at Binzen is usefully located on the main A5/A98 arteries, proving easy access to the Swiss and French border.
