Star Coach Travel was founded in late 2022 after Managing Director Gareth Tanner saw that there was demand for operators to carry out rail replacement work while Transport for Wales electrified and updated the rail network in the area, and has gone on to build a portfolio of work including private hires and school contracts, as well as tour work.
A new addition to the fleet is a Yutong GT12, which is fully PSVAR and PSVAIR compliant. The company said it returned to the Yutong brand after being impressed with a 2019 GT12 that it bought last year.
The family firm also employs Gareth’s brother as a mechanic and driver, and on 6 March Gareth’s wife Sarah passed her PCV test, with no faults, having been taught by her husband. STAR COACH TRAVEL
