Six vehicles destroyed in Diamond Bus depot fire

Six vehicles have been destroyed at a Black Country bus depot in Hallbridge Way, Tividale, in a suspected arson attack.

The fire which spread at the Diamond Bus Depot just after 2130hrs on Thursday 24 January 2019 was tackled by 20 firefighters for two hours, reported BirminghamLive.

According to the report, an onsite manager said that there had been a series of break-ins, thefts and vandalism at the site.

A spokesperson from West Midlands Fire Service said: “A scrap bus was on fire in an outdoor yard area which spread to five additional scrap buses.

All buses showed signs of vandalism with smashed windows and damaged interiors.”

There were also signs of forced entry.

Police are investigating the incident.
