SWEDEN Solaris has secured a contract to deliver more electric buses to Sweden. Operator Nobina Sverige has chosen the Polish manufacturer to supply 89 Urbino 15 LE electric buses for routes in Stockholm. It follows a 2024 order for 55 electric buses for Stockholm and 28 buses for Nobina Skane. The new buses, equipped with Solaris’ High Energy batteries, will be delivered in the first half of 2026.
“Delivering yet another substantial batch of our 15-metre fully electric buses, proves Nobina’s continued trust in our organisation and the quality of our products,” said Sverre Skaar, CEO of Solaris Sverige.
“This partnership underscores our commitment to providing sustainable and reliable transportation solutions, and we look forward to further strengthening our relationship with the operator and contributing to greener urban mobility.”
Solaris has been present in the Swedish market since 2003, delivering nearly 800 buses to date, including zero-emission battery and hydrogen vehicles in recent years. Last year, the Polish company sold a total of 1,525 vehicles worldwide, a 4.7% increase compared to 2023.
