Solaris is continuing its growth in the French market with a new contract to supply four 12-metre Urbino hydrogen buses to Artois Mobilités for the TADAO transport network in northern France. The buses are scheduled for delivery at the beginning of 2025. Solaris will work in collaboration with operator the Transdev Group for the delivery.

“There are a number of arguments in favor of hydrogen. First of all, it is absolutely emission-free during operation. Additionally, there are significant advantages such as long ranges, a fast refuelling process, flexibility in managing a fleet of hydrogen vehicles and a distinguishingly quiet ride. I congratulate Artois Mobilités on this decision and look forward to our cooperation,” said Brice Bonavia, Director of Solaris France.

The buses will use 70kW fuel cells, mounted on the roof, and will be equipped with Solaris High Power traction batteries, which support the fuel cell during peak electricity demand. The buses will be equipped with Solaris eSConnect monitoring and remote fleet management system.

The new contract strengthens Solaris’ position in the European zero-emission vehicle market. It has already delivered over 220 Solaris Urbino hydrogen buses to cities including Barcelona, Bratislava, Frankfurt, Madrid, Poznan and Venice, and is in the process of completing an order for 22 hydrogen buses for Île-de-France Mobilités.
