Solaris enjoyed a record year in 2017, with 1,397 buses sold.

Of those, 952 were exported – the highest number going to Italy with 225 buses, followed by Germany with 200, Norway with 109 and Latvia with 96.

New additions in the year were the Netherlands and Luxembourg, which took 41 Solaris Urbinos.

According to Omnibus Revue, Solaris supplied a total of 445 buses to Polish transport operators. Among the largest customers in its home nation in 2017 were MPK Kraków with 97 buses, PKS Grodzisk Mazowiecki with 49 buses and MPK in Czestochowa with 40 buses.

According to the Polish bus manufacturer, around 1.85 billion PLN was generated in the record year, which is the equivalent of about €434m. The Polish manufacturer is confident about the year ahead, with the order book already standing at 1,400 buses.
