The move took place after Lucketts Group acquired the firm and invested in its facilities.

In the last year, the operator has increased its number of drivers by more than a third, doubling its coach hire work.

The fleet has also been updated, including the addition of several school coaches and an Irizar i6 touring coach, increasing the fleet by more the 40%.

Mark Pitter, Commercial and Operations Manager at Solent Coaches, said: “The acquisition by Lucketts Group really has unlocked the growth potential for Solent Coaches.

“Investment and operational improvements have helped us to pick up new work and we’re seeing a significant rise in the amount of coach hire work we’re winning locally.”

Managing Director Tony Lawman said: “We saw huge potential in Solent Coaches ahead of the acquisition and we’ve been proven right.

“The company is upping the game for quality coach travel in the Bournemouth area and its popularity is evidenced by the impressive rise in coach hire work.”
