Southern Vectis run Festive Lights Tour for another year

Go South Coast subsidiary, Southern Vectis is once again running it’s festive lights tour, giving Newport locals the chance to kick off the holiday season by touring the Isle of Wights Christmas lights. On the route, as always is the home of Terry Ramplin, who decks his house with bows of twinkle lights every year in aid of charity.

Situated on Long Lane in the Isle of White, Terry’s house has become a tradition amongst locals for well over a decade and a half, which has been kept going by donations and support from local businesses. Richard Tyldsley, General Manager at Southern Vectis, said: “We know how much people here on the island love this lights display – it’s a big attraction among those wishing to get into the festive spirit.

“Terry puts in a tremendous amount of effort each year to maintain his display, and we are pleased to have once again made a donation to help replace the huge number of bulbs required to make the lights such an amazing sight. Each year, they attract local people and visitors from much further-afield – and we know Terry uses them as a fundraising opportunity for local good causes.”
