We barely had space for all the Jubilee images this week, a sign of how popular the event has been across the industry. Here’s a final picture to end on: this one from Go North East could have fitted in our feature or Industry Heritage pages, and was too good to leave out! The operator celebrated the Jubilee by painting this 2014 Alexander Dennis Enviro400 in a special Platinum Jubilee livery. The bus, new as an Alexander Dennis demonstrator, is seen with ex-Newcastle Corporation 1966 Leyland Atlantean KBB 188D, which is nearing the completion of its restoration by owners the North East Bus Preservation Trust into the livery in which it operated for Tyne and Wear PTE in 1977.
