Two lucky bus industry workers have won top prizes in BOTB’s online competition just days apart from each other.

Matthew Hector, 24, from Exeter, was just about to start his shift driving buses for Stagecoach in Devon when BOTB’s Christian Williams video-called him to tell him he’d scooped a brand-new Motech-tuned BMW M135i xDrive.

Just days later, 51-year-old Stuart Rollo from Prestonpans was also at work, this time as a Health and Safety Manager at Lothian Buses in Edinburgh, when he received the same phone call – this time to tell him he was the new owner of a Porsche Macan GTS.

The two bus enthusiasts also scooped cash prizes as part of their winnings – Matthew £10,000 and Stuart £70,000 – making their combined prize £185,000!

BOTB hands over the keys to two high-end cars every week as well as a lifestyle prize. Other recent winners have bagged a quad bike, a holiday to Las Vegas and a gaming tech bundle.

The company, based in Fulham, was founded by William Hindmarch in 1999 and has given away more than £37m-worth of cars so far.

Matthew has been driving buses for Stagecoach for four years but said he’s always preferred BMWs: “I’ve always loved BMWs, I used to have an old 3 Series but my brother reversed into it and wrote it off,” he added. “This new one is staying well away from him!”

Stuart said he’s played BOTB for years and always wanted this car because it has ‘everything.’ “It’s just the perfect car for me,” he added. “It’s big enough for the family, it’s luxurious, it’s powerful and it’s absolutely stunning.”

Christian Williams, who surprises the BOTB winners each week, said: “Massive congratulations to both Stuart and Matthew, they’re both lovely guys who played for fantastic prizes.

“I’m sure their new wheels are a little bit more luxurious than the buses they’re used to working with and that they’ll have a lot of fun driving them!”
