The Young Bus Professionals organisation will head to Cambridge for its next conference on 12 and 13 September 2024 with a diverse range of speakers from a range of operators and suppliers. The programme kicks off with an optional afternoon visit along the Cambridge Guided Busway and to Stagecoach East’s depot in the city. In the evening, the after dinner speaker will be Bill Hiron, Managing Director of Stephensons of Essex and chairman of ALBUM (Association of Local Bus Company Managers).
Friday will feature an interactive workshop as well as confirmed speakers headlined by Stagecoach CEO Claire Miles. Delegates will also hear from two prolific industry suppliers, Ticketer’s CEO Kelly Hanna and Oli Knights, the Head of Technical Sales of Equipmake. Rounding up the agenda is Jonathan Ziebart, UK Managing Director at Ascendal Group, which owns local operator Whippet.
The event will also showcase two of the organisation’s own members, who will share their own experiences as young managers. This time, they will be Nathan Burge from McGill’s and Ryan Scott from Ensignbus.
The conference will be held at the Novotel Cambridge North, adjacent to Cambridge North railway station.
