Stagecoach Manchester has given its support to Rushbrook Primary School’s much-loved Breakfast Club, which runs in partnership with Gregg’s Foundation.
The club, which runs daily from 0800hrs to 0840hrs has been made possible by the support of both Greggs and Stagecoach, who work together to provide morning meals and refrigeration for food for up to 120 school children each day.
Staff at Rushbrook Primary School attend out of contracted hours in order to help set up and manage each event, which has proven to be popular since it started in February.
Headteacher of Rushbrook Primary School, Matthew Carroll, said: “Our breakfast club is important as we want to provide our community with the start of the day they need in order to stay concentrated, hydrated and healthy.
“Being able to offer this provision enables families to drop their children off early in a safe and familiar environment with the comfort their children will be given a nutritious breakfast and have the opportunity to socialise with their friends. This also enables parents and carers to get on with their busy days and start their daily commute on time.”
