Shoppers in Doncaster are set to benefit from a new Stagecoach Yorkshire bus service to Lakeside Village.

The 70 White Rose Way Park & Ride service will run from Doncaster Interchange to Lakeside Village before heading on to White Rose Way Park.

John Magee, Centre Manager at Lakeside Village, said: “We’re thrilled that Stagecoach is including Lakeside Village in this route, opening up our centre and the brands on offer, and making the site accessible for even more visitors across the region.”

The buses will run every 15 minutes from the Interchange and will operate from Monday to Saturday until around 1900hrs.

Tickets will cost £2 per person for a day’s travel on the route, or £4 for a group day ticket which is valid for up to five people travelling together. Dearne Valley Dayrider and Megarider tickets are also valid on the service.

John Young, Commercial Director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “We’re delighted to be able to incorporate Lakeside Village into the White Rose Way Park & Ride route.

“Visitors and Doncaster locals alike will benefit from this journey, which will provide them with quick and easy access to Lakeside where they can shop, enjoy a meal or grab a coffee with their friends.”

The first 50 customers to use the service on Saturday July 22 received a free coffee, courtesy of Lakeside Village.
