A fleet of 30 new Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) Enviro400 MMC double-decker buses with free WiFi, USB charging points and contactless payment technology installed have arrived at Stagecoach South.

The Euro VI vehicles will operate on the Coastliner 700 service between Littlehampton, Worthing, Shoreham, Hove and Brighton.

They were unveiled at a special ceremony at Brighton City Airport, before a launch event at Worthing Marine Parade on Monday, May 21.

Edward Hodgson, Managing Director at Stagecoach South said: “We’re so pleased to be making such a significant investment in these new buses for the local area.

“They provide a modern upgrade to customers travelling on the route, and we hope the host of new features will help improve the perceptions of travelling by bus as we look to welcome new customers onboard.”

The Coastliner 700 operates seven days a week, including bank holidays, with buses running every 10 minutes during Monday to Saturday daytimes.

The new buses will be in service from May 21.
